The one you got from me beefjello is called Pickett Plume after the discoverer of the seam John Pickett. I will have more at the Pow Wow this coming January. We will be back in the same spot, space #275. Look forward to seeing you all out there

So I found an interesting slab of a lavender plume agate this past spring. I had no idea what it was or where it was from. I posted it on Facebook and one of our members here, Kristi Overturf Stutt, directed me to Mel's post of Leather's Ranch Plume Agate. The slab I have looks like it could have came off the same rock!! Killer material. Here is the cab I cut

I never had the opportunity to meet him in person but we had a few conversations here and I too am sad that another one of the folks that put in effort to grow our rock endeavors is gone. My he rest in peace.

So here is where I am an hour further along on my Deer Creek piece. I do not think there is anymore green on the right side. I tested a few areas and it seem like there is mostly a thin layer of bronze on that side. I may decide to separate the two sides. For now I will hold still and listen
