Looks like a great day. Haven't ridden in a few years, we used to hunt in the Wind River Range with my friends horses and mules. When I was younger, I could hit the ground and jump right back up. These days I hit the ground and go thud. Guess gravity gets stronger as one gets older. Thanks for the pics.

Great pictures, Jean, thanks for sharing. I got so I really like the desert in the springtime. We were lucky enough to catch the "super bloom" in Death Valley last year.

Don't really mind those critters being around, but learned a couple of years ago that I can't hear them anymore. Stood there watching a little prairie rattler four feet away wagging his tail and didn't hear a thing, my wife heard him fine.

Way behind on things here. Actually finished these Thanksgiving, they went to Colorado before Christmas. Turned out better than my lousy pictures show them. Thanks for looking. Russ

That's some really cool stuff, but no on the going to Oz. Too many relatives there.

Nice build, Scott. The PVC barrels are the way to go. Never took pictures of my latest setup, but it seems to me that the PVC barrels generate a good slurry faster, and grind faster than the Lortone barrels. The splash shields are a great idea, my big tumbler popped the cap one time. Nasty mess. captbob idea of different speeds works, that's how I set mine up. Whole thing is torn down again now for revamping, pictures by late summer I hope. Your barrel speed is 80 rpm? That should round stuff off real quick like. Russ

Heck, even I have a little reptile picture. Saw this guy back in May, I think?

Hey Rob, Happy Birthday. Getting older sucks but I reckon it beats the snot out of the alternative.

Nice looking rocks there, keep them critters rolling. Lots worse things for a kid to do then come home with a pocketful of rocks. Good stuff.

Well, much to everyone's relief we won't be making it this year. Been a busy year or so, hopefully we'll have things settled down a little by summer. Just bad timing right now. Russ I almost liked this post. But I don't like it. Well except for the junior! No matter, we will miss you Russ! Yeah, wondered about people "liking" that post. The weather here has brought everything to kind of a standstill this week, and pretty much wipes out any chance of us going. Expect you all to have fun and post pictures. Russ

Finished these in November, mostly just local stuff picked up around here. Finally got them uploaded and thought I'd post them. Being gone for part of November and half of December has me behind on a lot of stuff, but hey, I've always been kind of a behind. Didn't take a group shot of the entire batch for some reason, suppose there must of been a reason at the time. After going through the pics, it seems I may have fibbed just a little, some of these aren't local. The first three pictures aren't local, have more of similar stuff. need to get them all together and post them up with proper provenance. The next picture is some of the Gary Green material. When we were there in May I grabbed a little bag of small pieces and have been feeding them into the system a few at a time. The rest are all local rocks we collected around here. That's all for now. Thanks for looking. Russ
