Way cool, Jean. Went down a couple of times west of Abilene hunting them when we were still in CO. Friend of a friend had relatives or something, we had access anyhow. Put a freezer in the back of the pickup and kept it plugged in while we were there and plugged it in again when we got home. Worked great. Took one about that size and put him in the smoker whole. Oh. Oh. That was too good! Had a bunch of people around that day and when they were done there wasn't a scrap of meat left on a bone. Good eating, but they sure can make a mess of the land.

Wow, cool trip and a lot of windshield time. We used to mess around at the old mines in back of Alma, and I'm old enough to remember when there was still part of a mountain at Climax. Tried Mosquito Pass a couple of times but there was too much snow. Found brachiopods at Weston Pass. Your kids will remember trips like that forever.

Thanks folks. Some of the material does have dendrites, and some of it I think is pretty cool. Need to get back there and poke around some more.

You can see how much I get out. I didn't even know we had night hawks and definitely not that many. A really good photographer would have gotten some ants in the photo. Pat, I think that would be dinner on the fly ant. Well, Russ, got my pickup back from loaning it out but had to find and fix an electrical problem but the plates are out dated from March (I would have sworn I went back and did that after being 9 months out the last time). Plan on going to Cody Wednesday to get the plates so I will be giving you a call to make an appointment. lol Seems like I am late for everything now. Hope the rock you want me to see hasn't turned to dust. Jim I'm not a good photographer. Just a barely adequate picture taker. Fun watching them swoop around for an or so. Jim, I should be around Wednesday. Give me a holler when you're coming through. Russ
