Bluesky78987 Susan, I love the plume agates. Those are definitely worth whatever trouble it takes tosave them. I'm a fan of Hxtal, which will render the fractures & pits invisible. As for CA glues clogging the applicator, I unscrew the 2-piece cap & soak it in acetone to unclog. If successful, I can separate the top cap from the screw on part. Lynn

@shotgunner I've never seen Indian cab sellers at Quartzite. What venue do they sell at? Lynn

Nappers, Aaron - Welcome to the forum. It sounds like you have a Genie, not a Pixie since you mention two sides. The Pixie has all of the wheels together. "saggy pants with pockets of rocks". I can relate! Lynn

I've bought a few cabs & matched-pair cabs from eBay sellers in India. Recently I had bad luck with over saturated photos that were nowhere near what the actual cabs looked like. Here's one from treasuregems14. My photo on the left. Theirs on the right. Stay away from this seller! Also dadugems, super-gems, ranigemstone, silverngems 15, baligems2016, & rubygems 16 use photo editing deception. On a positive note, I've had good experiences from gemstoneshouse, fiestagems, gems_stones_india, & skgemsandjewellery. Lynn

The $26 motor will be twice as "strong" as the one you're replacing and will draw slightly more juice. Should work fine. But... I'd advise looking at the tech drawings to be sure it will fit (size-wise) and that the mounting bolt spacing is correct. Thanks! grumpybillNow I have to figure out what more I can buy to get free shipping. Lynn

I bought this tumbler used, ran it for 3 loads over a couple year span before the motor died. I think it may be the predecessor to the Thumblers A-R2. I ran it with 2 Lortone 3lb barrels. The last time, I ran 60/90 grit for about 10 weeks, stopped it & let it sit for a week or so. When I tried to start it up again, the motor was frozen. I did what someone on here advised - soaked the motor in mineral spirits, but that didn't revive it. Here's the link: forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/thread/75062/rock-tumbler-motor-helpScroll down to a post from May 30, 2016. I've disassembled it trying to figure it out, but I think he's dead, Jim! So I guess I'll buy a replacement motor From this pic, you can see that it's a Dayton model 9M481 - 1/100 HP, 1500 RPM, .62Amp motor. No longer available. I found several options on Zoro.com that all have similar specs, but different prices. Being the cheapo that I am, I'm hoping the cheapest of the lot will work ($26.73). Any advice or experience with any of the following motors? Dayton 3M535 1/100 HP, 1550 RPM, 1/4" shaft, .70 Amps, Zoro # G2335706 $34.28 Dayton 4M193 1/50 HP, 1550 RPM, 1/4" shaft, .90 Amps, Zoro G3035855 $33.60 Dayton 3M542, 1/50 HP, 1550 RPM, 1/4" shaft, .80 Amps, Zoro G1751084 $26.73 Dayton 3M534 1/100 HP, 1550 RPM, 1/4" shaft, .70 Amps, Zoro G2844362 $43.92 Dayton 4M213 1/100 HP, 1550 RPM, 1/4" shaft, .60 Amps, Zoro G0628573 $52.70 Dayton 3M558, 1/100 HP, 1550 RPM, 1/4" shaft, .65 Amps, Zoro G3248874 $48.21 TIA Lynn

10 in is pretty long. I'd cut them down to about 4 1/2 in. Hot dipped galvanized means a rough surface. Probably not too comfortable on the hands. Lynn
