Cher - get out on to the big lake - its not that big really Ohno - this thread went on ages - i only surmised about the sightings and recordings ratios initially - I think that the rock tumbler (in person) has the brain power to suss the alien thing out in the long run - its going to be tricky for sure!!!! Hey - maybe everyone else (ie those that dont appreciate earth and its constituent materials) - are the ones in the cold? Cos they dont look close enough?

Dudes - I just had this thought.
Ok - in the 60's and 70's loads of vids were taken of UFOs, all grainy and wot not.
Back then only x% of the population of the planet had home Camcorders.
Now - y% have a camcorder.
x is far far far far less than y - and yet the number of ufo recordings has dropped to almost zero?
I would normally expect - in a true situation - that the rate of captured visitations would grow in proportion to the rate at which the general population begins to own recording equipment.
However this has not happened.
Hell - where have all those UFOs gone.
Am I talking crap - or - should this statement be true.
************* The rate at which UFOs are captured on camera is directly proportional to the density of camera ownership across the planet. Given that the rate of visitation by aliens remains constant. *************
Any views are appreciated.

"As far as he is concerned, he would like to see all of you die."
Well - irrespective of that fact - I dont want it making public on my board.
That IP is now banned.

I could see a case where an annoying person tries to rip people off though on the web - that could be cause for a test case (if thats how it works). Like say I log in as Fred Smith and ask Cher for a shipment of rocks to my address but false name - then Cher would be ripped off if I dont pay her (and annoyed at me - originating from the board). Interesting though. Glad Im logging in as Mark now not Andy

So - Im having a fire in the back garden the night before last and I see something out the corner of my eye. Over to the bird table I go and there are these excellent brown field mice having a nibble at the bird seeds I havent got a zoom lens - I got right up to them and they werent that scarded of me - they had a look at me for sure but just kept on nibblin How cool is that? These are totally harmless little things to me - I didnt scare them off - I just let em feed. Hell - as Clint Eastwood said in "The Outlaw Josey Wales" "Buzzards gotta eat - just like worms" Well - Mice have to eat - just like birds The third pic is as close as I got - no zoom - I was right next to them. I think its because about two years ago I trapped 7 of them in my garage with a home built safetrap and let them go in the woods a few miles away - they know I aint going to hurt them. Cool things - I just hope that Falcon doesnt come for seed at night. (Added the last pic as I didnt realise I had it at first).

Wow - loads of encouragement - thanks very much. Congrats to all you ex-smokers too. Cookie - "How do you find the desire NOT to smoke stronger than the the desire to smoke? that's my problem." My desire to smoke was stronger than by desire not to smoke - even if that were still the case, my desire alone would not warrant me doing it to myself any longer. My desire can "shut-it" and go to hell.

Guys - I dont want to be a waffler type on this one - ive quit and thats that. Been there seen it done it - smoked in clubs and pubs at work and home for 20 years - got to 70 cigs per day for the last six months or so and Ive had enough. Theres tonnes of "tax" issues too aswell as health. My smokin days are well and truly over. Looking forward to having about 300-400 extra pounds per month to save - (whats that about 700$ or so) its BIG money to me and I think a new kitchen or something is in order). Cheers for the support. Just about 25 hours now - thats the longest in 20 years by a long shot. And surprisingly easy too. Stuff cigs - stuff em Mark.

If you want to be spied on - then Gmail is definately for you. For another angle on what google is really about. See the pic of the monkey with 4.3 billion $ - hes having a laugh allright. If you want to read about how google stuffs webmasters - read e b m a s t e r w o r l d.com - the google search news forum. (Go back a bit and read a lot) I think you may be surprised at what a bunch of scum they really are.

KD - yes - we are alike. An observer who is as big as the universe will see the possum and the human as equals. He/she (the observer of the universe and entire cosmos) - probably wouldnt even notice life on earth - nevermind a difference between different forms of life on earth. Its a tough one to understand - a pair of blinking eyes as big as spacetime itself looking at our current explosion (the big bang) material - simply wouldnt even notice us. We are - we are indeed - very very very very very small. Just like that possum - just the same as him, so I say look after him - dont shoot him. Give him a brew then let him go and do as he will on this little tiny rock he finds himself on.

Sometimes - when I look at the stars, and wonder what the hell is going on on earth, I get confused. I mean - REALLY CONFUSED. Im not talking about "how good a payrise is" or "the politicians have done this or that" - I mean about why we are here and what is the universe all about. Then - sometimes - I can see a picture of a creature like this (or look at a creature itself) - and just a bit - I mean just a tiny bit - things fall into place when I look at the blackness of its pupils and the awareness it has of its surroundings. When I look a bit harder, I realize that humans are such a tiny bit more than the Possum (for instance) in the absolute sheer and awesome size of twisting spacetime, that they may aswell be **us**. What Im trying to say is that the difference between us and the Possum - on this earth - seems quite large. In cosmological terms though - we are the same as the Possum. If we remember relativity (soz if Im waffling) we will note that (for example) the speed of an object is measured relative to the observer (except for light). I think I can safely say (pause) that an observer from another planet **may** see very little difference between humans and the possum. Its only from our position that we see the Possum as very different from ourselves. An observer from another planet may see humans and possums as the same thing - that is - "something crawling around on a rock". I think its a stormer of a creature.
