Looks like fun. I wonder if I can get an electric assist stationary bike? Would make my workouts more enjoyable.

Very nice shot. Love the silhouette and sun flare.

That pile represents a lot of work and time. I'm a sucker for nice Montanas, very few batches come out of the Lot-O without a couple. That's a fantastic bunch you've got there, thanks for sharing the video.

Impressive bunch of obsidian. I like the look of mahogany, with the red and black. Great shine on them too!

It has aged beautifully. If I knew where it came from, I'd probably have already been there myself. Very nice!

The main reason I tried layering was that the slurry and grit were not sinking down between the rocks. This prevented the addition of enough water. Even a slight shake/tapping the sides was not helping. Layering lets me add everything at once, rather than putting the cover on shaking a lot, taking the cover off and adding more water. The above method actually takes me less time. My physical limitations also came into play. Agree, that everything is completely mixed after a few rolls on the tumbler. Add water first?

Super batch, Chuck. Favs are #1 and the Bot in the front of #6. Made me get my stash of Bots out and throw a few in the barrel. I like those Jaspers in #3 also. Thanks Randy. Those jasper are the first of from a MFRB of the stuff roy was selling. That material is going to make some really nice tumbles. Chuck That's great, look forward to seeing more. I think I ended up with some of that jasper, third hand. Got some rolling now.

Winter tumbling, for most of us, brings a whole new set of challenges.

Hmm, never considered using rabbit turds as a media. Let us know how it turns out.

Snowflake obsidian always gets noticed in the bowl, people will often comment that it looks like snowflakes. They seem very satisfied to hear that it's called 'snowflake obsidian'. If only everything else made sense like that.
Nice shine on those!

aDave saxplayerI had some excellent smoked turkey this Thanksgiving. My older brother is the smoker guy in our family. He always brings the good stuff to our get togethers. My boys especially like to go swimming over there and get wings off the smoker. Don't know his prep or technique for turkey, but heard him say he got up at 2:30 to start the smoker and was up again at 7:30, when it was done. Very tender bird, great flavor. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!
