It works well for buffing and polishing silver.
Cabbing, carving, water...NOT what this machine is designed to do.

There are a lot of things that eBay sellers have no control over, or are so difficult to find they may as well not exist.
I have bought from Everett, both electronically and in person. He was very easy to work with and very accommodating.

The Caldera Rock Shop folks had a large display of Purple Cow at Quartzsite this year. I did notice colors similar to your picture. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures--too busy looking!

How about some better pictures...The stone is wet. Its cloudy here so the colors are slightly muted. Thank you everyone!

Obsidian, if it's just plain black or Silver Sheen is only worth .25 - .50 cents a pound.. Other Obsidian maybe $1.50 - $3.00 a pound.. Wouldn't location matter? Lot's of Obsidian in Oregon...not so much in Michigan.

Sensors??? Sheesh!
We scheduled for a six week period. All cows were checked once per day. If weather was unfriendly then older cows were kept where they could be checked more frequently. First timers were always under close supervision when they were within a week of calving. By close supervision I mean looked at every two hours.
Want your cows to calve in the daylight when its warmer? Feed them after 4pm!
Have no idea about cost of sensors...but it certainly could mean more sleep!
Glad I am retired!!!

That's a beautiful stone! Perhaps a torch should be on the 2020 Christmas wish list?

Bleach is really hard on nails, it removes the oils that keep your skin and nails healthy plus doing damage. Having your hands in water a lot washes away the natural oils. I would recommend a good protectant before shift like Avon's Silicon Glove lotion. There are other products targeted at mechanics and industrial workers that also might do the job. Follow up application after work. If that isn't enough, then at bedtime an excessive coat of Eucerin cream and wear thin cotton gloves to bed to minimize transfer. Or, if you can find it, use lanolin at bedtime. Pure lanolin applied thinly over the nail and on the skin just around the nail works very well to rejuvenate.

Had to look this up again this morning. For a while now my profile has said "Spending too much on rocks."
I'm thinking "What??? I don't have one of everything yet...!!!"
I was thinking, "But I didn't buy the expensive stuff!"
