I'm totally guesstimating, but I think there has to be over 150 pounds of material being offered up in this auction. That's just the weight...not taking into account the amazing "types" of material being offered up. So, at the current bid, that's $3.33 a pound which I feel is a steal for most of the material I'm seeing in this auction. Poor mail delivery person who gets stuck with this task! Serves them right for not having LFR boxes at my local PO! LOL

Thanks for the assists again jasoninsd! To the relief of hopefully everyone I would like to wrap this thing up in proper fashion. I am adding another SFRB of tumble scraps that might consist of trim saw offcuts. I will do my best to get photos up by tonight if I get off early enough. Also, I am proposing that after this date push out to Saturday the 17th we conclude the auction with no additional date push-outs, and move the end time up to 7pm out of respect for our east coast folks. If anyone who has been actively involved in this thread either giving or bidding has any objection to either of these changes please say so. Thank you, Tommy. Ditto

Benathema and jasoninsd ... that's pretty good. Didn't know you guys were such poets. Actually, I appreciate the extension as well. The additional slabs don't make it into the MFB so I'll upsize this to a LFB and then add some additional rough. Pics tomorrow.

Maybe I can convince the wife that I need to make a road trip to northern Indiana. While she might say yes, I might have a hard time convincing my employer that I need to take time for for an estate sale I could always try ... Looks like a great sale. Surely you have some ailing relatives in northern Indiana? YEAH ... that's it! Aunty ... um ... Becky! Yes!

My hubby has mentioned trying a cement mixer for some of our big river rocks. I think it is a gas that you are going to try it. Let us know how it works, good or bad!! Fingers crossed!! I definitely second these comments. Let us know how this goes and take pics along the way.

The longer this goes, the more I search, the more I cut, the more I find, the more tumble fodder I add. This is going to be hard to fit in a MFRB. Don't know how much more it can hold before an upgrade is needed. This is not meant to be an "add-on", as it represents a minute portion of the bounty offered, overall. I am just having fun adding to this box sitting here staring at me. That, and I am a self professed photo junkie with fresh subjects at hand...That's really funny, I love it!

Let's add to the bidding. Since I recently returned to the hobby, I've also recently returned to my shed to clear things out. This is a MFB with some rough and slabs. Some were found, some were purchased, some I don't recall where they came from LOL. Kinda like rockhounding in the shed, "...hey, that's new ...". Misc rough: Misc slabs: Close up of a few: Agate from Brian Head UT Reverse Agates from Yermo CA Sheen Obsidian rough and slabs: I will handle the shipping costs. I'm not very good with the camera so if anyone wants a close up of a particular piece, let me know. Thanks!

Totally agree with these comments. AZ petrified wood is really terrific materials. Years ago, we did a stop at DoBell Ranch, near the south entrance to the Petrified Forest National Park. Came away with some really great stuff.
