Not particularly waxy feeling. Feels like any other slab.

Yeah, Mexican. Has the hallmarks - those maroon splotches, the tiny intricate detail.

Here's mine. It was sold to me as Coprolite anyway. It's so big it has to go in my special "honkers" slab box! Maybe 10" wide. However it is not impossible that it is really something else - it looks a lot like pink Tiffany too, the brecciation and the yellow orange jaspery spot look very Tiffanyesque.

This is the same stuff that somebody saw on a vacation trip down to Mexico a few years ago. Was it Mario who posted the pics of it? I've seen it in beads a bit at shows. Almost certainly a conglomerate made from real stones and powder and other magical ingredients, of the ilk of mojave turquoise. Super pretty though. If it was a real stone like some sort of chrysocolla, it would be on the market and expensive, since it is so attractive.

I loooove Mescalero! Yours is no exception! The others are super as well - neat colors on the polychrome, great find. And that's one stunning bot - I haven't seen on with that particular stripe style before.

I might theoretically want the faceting machine but let the others have first dibs.

Looks a lot like hemimorphite to me - def not amazonite or larimar. I'm not soo familiar with Smithsonite though so can't rule that out.

For a point of reference - on my BD10 with the MK303 blade, I get about 3 cuts of a max size hard rock when I'm using water with additives and hand feeding (trying to be non-aggressive with the pressure but you know how it is). Blade wears out fast with this system. More cuts probably with oil between dressing. I'm interested in other people's answers.
