Nice job on that board and your display is outstanding. Always kind of baffles me when I go to shows and stuff is just in boxes with no labels, prices, or anything. Then they wonder why they aren't selling anything.

Lovin it. Mountain a fire wood and sandhill jerky. Don't get better than that. All sold nowyo ? You grow garlic as a money crop ? Any creeks running through that corn field ? Arrowheads in it ? Garlic is just for fun, mostly. Sell enough to pay for seeds and whatnot, new rototiller last year. Let's us do the garden for pretty much free. I like free food. Freezers are full. No creeks in that field, irrigation ditch on the north side. Artifact hunting here is a different deal than what you folks do down there. The few items I've found are no where near modern syphyllization. Rus

Thanks all. I decided the mossy stuff was kind of nice so I went back and got some more yesterday. There is more there but it doesn't all have the "moss". Thanks for looking. Russ

Found this spot back in the late spring, seemed to have some interesting stuff. When i found this stuff I didn't bring any home because I was on a weight restriction. couldn't lift over 8 pounds. Went back a couple of times to get more and explore a little. Had some going in the tumblers, most of these really could have used more time in coarse but I moved some of them along just because I wanted to see what the end product may look like. The battery was low in the camera but I got a few pictures. Most of these have fractures and what not but if you can get past my bad photography I think some of them are kind of nice stones. All I've got for now. Thanks for looking. Russ

Makes sense. I sometimes pull stones to keep a feature from being wiped out.

The two aren't really related, just happened at the same time pretty much. It's been hazy, smoky from all the fires north and west of us this summer and I know it's worse there because we've been through it ourselves. Wind changed a few nights ago and in the morning I walked out and took a picture. Hadn't seen blue sky like that in a while. The neighbors chopped the corn from the field behind the house, since then the sandhill cranes have been showing up there every morning for their breakfast. Generally a few deer out there with them. Finally got the garlic all sorted, graded, weighed out. Looks as though it will be all sold by Wednesday. One less thing to mess with. Biggest projects now are painting the house and splitting firewood. Hopefully I can get back to messing with rocks again soon. You all take care. Russ

Yeah, dump 'em, rinse 'em, check 'em. Part of the fun is watching individual stones change with time. That said, I haven't been running the big tumbler the past couple of months because I just didn't have time to mess with it.

I've marked this vague Aprilish-Mayish spot on the calendar. No preference, whatever you all decide, but we're figuring on going if you'll have us.

Great report again, John. We all sure enjoy them. And yeah, what Braders said, if you're going to be in the neighborhood, holler.

That's a fine looking pup. See them in the back of pickups around here all the time. I always speak to them, but don't reach in to pet them. Never had one but several friends have, keep them busy and they can be great dogs.
